We’re pretty lucky in Vancouver that we have some really beautiful places to visit and explore on a Sunny Sunday. About 35 minutes outside of the Downtown Vancouver core is a small Fishing Village called Steveston, which, if you’re a fan of the ABC hit show Once Upon A Time, you’ll recognize as the town of Storybrooke, Maine. More than that though, Steveston has been one of my favourite places to spend an afternoon since I lived nearby to the harbour. Whether it’s a brisk Sunday Afternoon walk along the promenade like we did yesterday, or an evening meal at Blue Canoe next to the Ocean. There’s plenty to entertain here in Steveston Village. And if you’re a coffee lover, like me, then avoid the packed Starbucks and go to Rocanini Coffee Roastery on the intersection of Moncton & No. 1 Rd.
Yesterday in Steveston was surprisingly milder in temperature (despite the ice floes floating down the Fraser River in New Westminster!!) so I went for a classic Parisian, Nautical look. I do tend to wear variations of this look throughout Spring to be honest and I was quite content in it yesterday and not at all freezing.
How did you spend your weekend? Let me know in the comments below.
